By Andrew Coates, Town Clerk, Feb 9 2018 03:05PM
Items of importance dealt with week commencing 5th February 2018
Quince Honey Farm
The North Devon Council Planning Committee will be considering the Honey Farm Application next Tuesday 13th February commencing at 10.00am. The meeting is at the Rugby Club and this item is second on the Agenda.
The Boundary Commission are recommending that instead of Filleigh being part of the South Molton Ward, George Nympton and Queens Nympton should be added along with Mill-on-the –Mole to form a three member ward. The consultation for this runs until 19th February so if any Councillor wishes to make any representations this can be done on line. This is being discussed by a Full District Council Meeting on Tuesday at 6.00pm.
After the recent occurrences in the Pannier Market I am suggesting that the Council revert back to the old Committee System whereby the stall holders vote for say three Market Representatives who will then sit on the Pannier Market Committee. The reps will have voting rights and I suggest the Council appoint say five Councillors to join the Committee. I will bring this to Full Council for ratification at the end of February.
I, the Mayor , Councillor Kingdon and Alan Dart walked around the woodland paths looking at any repairs that may be needed. Certainly on the new paths there are several areas that need re-patching. Alan Dart will be giving the Council a quote and depending on the amount I will get other quotes.
Neighbourhood Planning Meeting on Tuesday 13th February at 6.30pm at the Amory Centre.
Finance Meeting on Monday 12th February at 8.30am in the Amory Centre
